im so excited to announce that my little maddox is walking, i knew he was close but i just couldnt get him to take a step and saturday night after his bath he was standing by the couch and waddled over to me :) so cute, hes so proud and merrick thinks hes walks funny so he laughs lol. and one more update my merrick is in preschool now, i was going to wait til next year but he wasnt talking very clear so i went and had him tested and they said he can do preschool this year for free and he gets help at school from the speech therapist, hes been going now for about a month or so and so far his talking has improved so much and he loves to ride the bus and tell me about his day, mostly he tells me what he ate lol but i love to see how excited and happy he is. my boys are growing too fast, its sad and fun, merrick learned to draw stick people i will post a pic of a picture he drew its so cute, and hes proud of his pictures and he should be lol. well thats my update for now, i will work on getting pictures on here lol

IM SOOOOO BEHIND

0k so i havent updated since maddox was 3 months old and hes almost 10 months old now! wow i need to get with the program, im going to hurry and update and i will have to add pictures later. so theres alot to catch up on, first of all can i just say how excited i am that 3 of my favorite friends r having little babies! i cant wait! congrats mand, moke, and ky, i love you guys. ok so maddox is growing so fast its crazy to me, he crawls like a stink bug everywhere he goes, he walks along furniture, hes practicing try to stand alone, he says mama, dada, baba, and uh-oh. he loves bath time and anytime its time to eat lol. merrick and him play together so cute, its so fun to hear them laughing and playing. i always have to tell merrick to make sure his money and little things r picked up so maddox doesnt choke on them because everything goes to his mouth so now he thinks that applies to everything. i was cutting up lettuce today and merrick wanted a piece and then he asked if he could take johnny a piece and i said i dont know if daddy wants any lettuce and merrick looks at me and says "oh, he will choke?" lol it made me laugh and then johnny was holding an extension cord and merrick grabbed it from him and said no no daddy you will choke. lol what a kid. he likes to try and carry maddox and maddox thinks its funny but it worries me maddox is almost as big as merrick lol. they are such entertainment during my day. well since last time u updated merrick as turned 3 we did a toy story theme party and everybody played in the water and we had a bbq, it was alot of fun. johnny has continued to work hard and like his job at dugout. im so proud of how hard he works hes an amazing man. we had our 4 year anniversary! it has went by so fast. we had little night out, went to dinner, a nice quiet dinner without 500 pee breaks with a 3 year old is always nice lol. we took a vacation to durnago to see johnnys family. johnny rode his harley and i followed in the car with boys. i was nervous because it was a long drive but the boys did great and we stopped enough that they got to take some breaks from the car. we were there about a week. it was nice to catch up and see everybody. merrick finally became completely potty trained meaning no pull ups at night time. he still has an accident here and there but he loves his big boy underwear lol. we have had some massive wind storms in elmo. one day the wind picked up out trampoline and hucked it into johnnys bike and into the raod, it mangled it so no more trampoline :( and it hit my air conditioner on my house at ripped it half way off. johnny was at work. his bike only had one little borken peice on the brake but in harley terms thats alot of moolah$$$. he wasnt too happy when he got home and see what happened but my dad helped me with his bike to amke sure it ran ok, so i had to reassure him that his bike was alive and well lol. i have been making it my goal to get back in shape and it was so much easier in high school than it is now after 2 kids lol. ive started doin Insanity its an interval training workout and holy moly is it tough. the instructor fall on the floor at the end of the workout! thats really ressuring to me lol! but if ur wanting to get in shape i highly recomend it! so now i just need to stick with it! i have also started couponing a bit. im starting to get the hang of it. i go graocery shopping once every 2 weeks. and it makes me sick how muich everything costs. i still spend alot but my last 2 shopping trips i have saved $92 and $113. once i get my pantry stocked then i will only have to buy produce and milk and baby stuff so im getting there. im sure theres alot more i could continue with in my novel but i will end it here and add pcitures asap!

UPDATING AND MADDOX IS 3 MONTHS OLD!!!

Well its been way too long since ive updated this thing, but ihave a chance to so im taking advantage of it. well my baby maddox is now 3 months old! i cant believe it, hes getting so big. hes a very good sleeper and eater he has the cutest little rollies on is legs, hes so squishy i just want to squeeze him :) we all just got over being sick, i have decided that i will never have another baby in the winter, such a pain trying to dodge the yuckies out there. merrick is till being a very good big brother but so me days he doesnt like to share mommy and daddy. i just got the boys's pictures done so i get to see them wednesday im so excited! johnny started his new job out to Dugout mine after Consol had their lay off, im so proud of him and how hard of a worker he is. his first month out there they were moving him around to different sections of the mine to help get their production up because he can cut the coal fast and since then he got a letter from people high up in the company saying that he is essential to the mine for production and safety! he is currently doing is foreman fireboss classes so he can start bossing. im just cant even say how proud i am to have a husband like him, i love him to death :) merrick will be 3 in may it floors me when i look at him and his baby look is gone. hes such a little boy now and it makes me sad. he says and does some funny things he can keep me entertained all day. our christmas was very good, merrick got spoiled by santa and he got a Buzz and Woody doll set and they talk to eachother, so much fun he loves Toy Story, so he was pretty excited :) we good family get togethers and we played a white elephant gift game at a family party and the gifts we did we "beer noculars" i took 2 beer cans and hooked them together and cut a hole on the bottom of each then i made a string for them to hang around your neck and i made it out of electrical take lol it was funny and our other gift i wrapped up some used batteries and put a note on them that said toy not included lol, its so much fun to see the persons face that ends up woth the gifts you donated lol, so much fun. and merrick ended uo with a barbie lol johnny wasnt too thrilled , i thought it was funny, but he loves to play with the barbie from time to time lol. well thats my update for now i will try to stay on top of things!!!!

MADDOX KYSEN DONAN

so maddox is two weeks old today and im a slacker with posting pictures. i had 18 hours of hard labor but as soon as my water broke, baby maddox was here in no time!he was 7lbs. 14 oz. 21 in. the same weight and length as merrick was! hes such a calm baby, only cries when hes hungry or needs a new diaper lol :). merrick loves his new brother, he loves to give him kisses, its so cute. two kids takes some getting used to but im getting the hang of it. i love my boys.

HALLOWEEN 2010!

We was so excited this halloween to take merrick trick or treating but the wind and rain made it hard. but he loaded up on candy just by going to family. merrick was a dragon i loved his little costume lol. i tired to get good pictures but he doesnt like to pose for them and he was kinda onery that day lol. we carved pumpkins and merrick was so excited but as soon as he seen what was in the pumpkin he started gagging and saying "ew dross" his G's are D's lol. he wasnt so excited after that. then me and johnny shared a pumpkin and johnny broke out the power tools, i couldnt believe he did that but it was alot easier than just a little knife. over all we had good halloween and next year we will have 2 little one to take around. P.S. im 37 weeks and if i dont have the baby by the 18th im getting induced!!!! its so close i cant wait!!!!

SUPER DUPER PREGO!!!!

ok so small update on my pregnancy, and family. we have been super busy lately getting merricks new room done, we still need to get a few things for it and then i will take pictures and post them :) currently merrick is sick and johnny is starting to get sick, im really hoping that i dont catch it, im miserable enough as it is. im currently 35 weeks prego so 5 more weeks and baby maddox will be here!!!! maybe sooner lol i can hope. im super prego right now, i waddle, i ache, i dont sleep but i figure im just already prepared for the sleep i will be losing when maddox is here so thats ok :) he gets very active at night and it gives me motion sickness haha which is weird but it happens. lately i have been super tired though, i deffinately need some energy to get this place in order. ive been organizing our house and trying to get ahead of the game so being sleepy doesnt make accomplishing that easy, but what i am thankful for is helpful family and friends, thats always nice. so the count down continues and in not too long i will be posting pictures of our new little one :)

Well i decided i should update a bit, so my pregnancy has been going really good aside from being alittle uncomfortable from time to time but its getting closer to the day when we will get to hold baby Maddox. i have 81/2 weeks left!!! we still have alot to do before he gets here but we will get it done in time. merrick understands alot better that there is a baby in my belly and he likes to give baby kisses and feel him move, its cute to watch him, he will be a wonderful big brother. im suprised i made it through the summer heat without swelling up like a balloon :) its nice that it has cooled down tho and johnny still complains that the house is cold but he is good about pileing on the blankets and letting me be comfortable :) but aside from that we are counting down the days till baby Maddox is here and im deffinately ready to not be huge and no more waddling lol.

LAST MINUTE VEGAS TRIP

So last weekend, we found out my practically cousin was eloping in vegas so his brother nick convinced me and johnny to head to vegas with him literally it was like 10:00pm the night before so we packed up our stuff and headed out in the morning. i hadnt been to vegas since i was like 6 or 7 so i was excited to go, we got there and we set my GPS to guide us to our hotel and it said you have reached your destination and we looked around and could see our hotel so we sat and circled it like 4 times before we finally figured it out and how we missed it that many time i will never know. it was so hot which isnt fun when your 6 months prego, but we rode in some taxis and that was fun but too expensive to we only did that twice, we watched some magicians on the strip and that was fun, johnny was way into that lol :) then we saw elvis walking toward us so i made johnny stand by him and get a picture , later we seen alittle bit better elvis but thats ok. we went to the Bellagio and watched water show with the big fountains and that was really cool i had only seen that on TV! we played a few penny slots and then johnny decided that he could turn $5 into $500 if he played 21 but that didnt happen he basically was out the first round lol. we couldnt do a whole lot because when you go last minute you dont really have alot of time, but we are wanting to back and see shows and stuff, when im not pregnant, i was so sore from walking all day it was horrible but worth it. before we left we ate at a harley davidson cafe and it was way cool johnny was in heaven, there was an Elvis signature Harley he spotted immediately. it was definitely a short trip but still alot of fun and ive decided that it doesnt matter where you go, the vendors that are in mall that sell the lotions and creams from the dead sea or wherever... they are everywhere and you cant get away from them! you tell them no thanks and they grab your hand and make you test everything and its just frustrating to me, but my hands were really soft after vegas! lol :) i have some pictures that i will get on here asap!

ITS ANOTHER BOY!!!

well we went to the doctor today to find out what we were having and as confident as i was that it was a girl, i was proven wrong and we are having anther little boy!!! are still very excited and merrick will love a little brother to play with but i will still try for my girl in a few years and if thats a boy then im meant to have boys lol. everything looked great and im still on track with my due date, and he almost weighs 1 pound. we kept his hands 0n his face and his legs crossed for a while so it took some time to get pictures of him, i cant wait to meet him in about 4 months!!!!

MERRICKS BIRTHDAY, THE ZOO AND MORE!!!

i really need to stay on top of things, im behind on updating so its time to write my novel and fill everybody in. may 29th we took merrick to the zoo for the first time for his birthday and it really ended up being a nice day! we went over by the giraffes and they were eating right next to the fence so you could touch them and merrick got down by ones face and i asked him what the giraffe says and he barked loud at it and scared them all away :) it was funnyand really cute! all of the monkeys were asleep while we were there so we didnt get to really see them only a couple, so heres some pictures of our zoo day.
may 31st was merrick birthday, we just did a small get together at our house. i made his cake this year and i thought it turned pretty good! i was proud of my cake making abilities lol. merrick got alot for his birthday, johnny and i gave him a battery truck that is harley davidson addition and he loves it! but he needs to learn to steer lol. he got a sand box from his cousins and he got a bunch of little cars which he loves and now theres even more toys scattered in the house! but he has fun. pregnancy update. im now in my 5th month we will find out what we are having next month. my doctor waits longer than others. i have a doctors appointment tomorrow to see how everything is going but so far its been good. i have felt good beside the fact that i look like im due any day. i got big fast with merrick but this one seems alot faster and bigger!!! aside from that, im not dying of heat yet which suprises me, but also makes me happy, i feel the baby move quite a bit and i love it. merrick always kisses my belly and says "awww baby" its so cute. we are starting to move things around in the house, we have to get merricks new room ready and get him a new bed set and we have to move the computer and office stuff downstairs so we are in the process, i cant wait till its all done!!! other than that there hasnt been much going on here, i will try to keep up on my updates from now on! lol

today i had a doc appointment and when i went to the doc for my first appointment i was only like 5 weeks so the baby was too small to see, so today was my first ultrasound, and this little one is a wiggly one, it was throwing its arms everywhere and i was really surprised because im only 9 weeks, and when i was that far with Merrick he wasn't moving that much yet so this one is definitely active! we also heard the heart beat and merricks little face was just so excited he kept saying baby and pointing, it was alot of fun, its always fun when you finally get to see and hear your baby and to have my baby boy there to see it was fun too.

DISNEY ON ICE AND MISC. PICTURES

i should have posted this one first since it was before easter and stuff but oh well. so we took merrick up to see disney on ice last month it was like a last minute plan and we got good seats for a good price!!! it started out really good when he saw mickey and minnie and goofy and donald and they did a whole show and merricks face was just in awe andthen Cars came out he was so excited and he started clapping and laughing and it was so much fun to see his face and how he reacted to everything. before the show they were selling the light up toys that are like $20 a piece so we figured he didnt really need one well part way through the show merrick started throwing a fit because he didnt want to sit in the seat and he wanted to sit on the step next to johnny but he couldnt do that so johnny took him out to the main hall and when he came back guess who had the $20 light up toy? lol johnny said he kept looking at them so i just had to get him one it was funny, then merrick did really good until the intermission then he got all impatient again and the second half of the show was all tinkerbell and he couldve cared less, but overall it was a fun experience he just doesnt like to sit still :) we also made merricks crib into a toddler bed adn he was all excited he jumped on it forever!!! its funny because i will tuck him in and then like 20 min. later he will knock on his door and say mama and then he goes back to bed. hes done very good in it.

NEW STUFF!!!

i have been so excited lately because i finally got a dish washer!!!! not only a dishwasher but a new couch too!!! its so comfy! i took pictures of both i couldnt get a good one of the couch but you will get the idea of what it looks like. i was shopping with my mom and tris when i found it and i called johnny and said babe i found us a new couch so you need to sell ours and he did that day!!! i love it. the only thing i dont love about it is the new furniture smell makes my morning sickness kick right in, so its hard for me to be on the house too much. i have been febreezing it like crazy and now the febreeze i use makes me sick, i cant wait till i feel normal again :) so im so happy to have these new items but im pretty sure the reason i got them so easy is because johnny also got a new toy for himself.....yes he got a Harley! he rides that thing everyday and once in awhile i do ride with him, needless to say you wont see me in full leather with a doo rag on my head lol. i look retarded on it but he like to take me with him so that makes me happy, merrick loves to sit on it with johnny and johnny will rev it up and merrick gets all excited, its so cute. we are going to moab for the car show and johnny is going to ride the bike down and i offered to drive the car and follow, i love the rides but its not that comfy lol :)

EASTER 2010

ok so im finally updating... so for easter we went camping on the desert for a couple days with my dad and some friends, it was a little cold but still fun, the only problem we had out there trying to get merrick to go to bed, he just wanted to play all night and day, so the first night johnny slept with him and the second nitght i slept with him, usually theres not a problem getting him to bed but that kid sure does love the dirt :) merrick was alot of fun this year because he got to find easter eggs and once i showed him what we was looking for he had no problem gathering them up! i have a couple pictures and a video. the easter bunny put some marshmellow peeps in his basket and he just sat and licked the stuff off it was funny. he had fun finding the eggs and then i showed him what was in them and his little face just lit up!!! he carried his easter basket and candy around with him for a week, he so cute. while we was out camping i was telling him that mommy has a baby sister or brother in her belly and he pokes my belly and looks at me and says " oh yeah" with a big grin he makes me laugh. it was a very good easter weekend.

well most of you already know that im officially prego with baby # 2!!! im due November 25th, we are very excited to start adding to our little family. merrick turns 2 in may so by the time the baby is born he will be about 2 1/2, i keep telling myself that it will be easy to have a toddler and a newborn when in reality i know it will be work but it will all be worth it. im only 5 weeks right now so i havent had an ultrsound yet, but i go back to the doctor in 4 weeks so we will get to see our new little baby for the first time. we are hoping for a girl, well i am....johnny is back and forth but im ready to buy cute little girl things and have a daughter to bond with, even though merrick is a mamas boy its always fun to have a little girl. but i guess we will just wait and see. i feel good about this pregnancy, now that i know what to excpect so i feel more prepared than the first time, so im excited for that, im not looking forward to the morning sickness and currently my energy level is non exsistent, but it was all worth it the first time and it will the second time! merrick doesnt really understand me when i tryu and tell him that im having a baby and he will have a baby sister or brother but im sure eventually he will. he learning and growing more each month but he will always be my baby :)

well once again at has taken me a while to update. but heres whats been going on with my little family. merrick is still getting big, hes starting to talk alot more, and most of the time i can get what hes saying. everybody around us are getting ready to have baby number 2, and johnny really wants number 2 to be on the way but i need just alittle more time :) nothing to exciting has been going on with us we are just more and more entertained by merrick and his growing personality. the other night he came running down the hall saying oh no mom, so i went and checked things out and he had strung the roll of TP into the toilet..... luckily he didnt flush it lol. speaking of toilets, iu have been trying to get merrick warmed up to the idea of using the potty. he loves to go and stand on his stool and in front of the potty and say potty and he points but if you ask him if he needs to go potty or if you try and get him to go he just says no and shakes his head. but he did use the potty once and i got all excited and scared him so i have been trying to make him understand that mommy was excited and he was being a big boy. lol hes so funny. lately he likes to do things and clap and say good job and at first it was if he threw his garbage away or something but now its for everything but it makes him happy so we go along with it. aside from all of that we are doing good and staying busy, i cant wait to have this snow gone, it makes me crazy but for now i will just deal with it. well bye for now, when i have something interesting to update then i will do that :)

christmas time 2009!!! happy new year!!!

ok so i havent posted anything for a little bit and i need to continue my metal chasers story but for now its time to update about christmas and new years. this year was blast with merrick he just loves all of his toys!!! he loves them so much that he scatters them all around the house :) but its ok because at least i know that he like them, this year he got a drum set, just a little one, a little tykes basketball hoop, a cars battery powered fourwheeler, an etcha sketch, a light bright, a cars couch, hot wheels cars and a rug that has twisty tracks that he can drive the cars on, a miniature harley davidson and that drives around, a big dump truck and truck with a crane, he got books and puzzles, a parking garage for his little cars, a guitar, and i little broom because he likes to help me sweep and it talks while he sweeps, and he got new clothes, and radio flyer worm that he can ride its really cute. i think thats everything he got from santa, us, and all of the grandmas and grandpas. the holidays were alot of fun for us, and merrick threw hardly any fits so that always makes anyting nice. we also celebrated my grandma and grandpa lunds 50th anniversary and we get a big family picture and then som individual pictures so that was also alot of fun, its always nice to have the whole family together. merrick gave all of the grandmas and granpas specials gifts this year, i found this fun website called personalizationmall.com and i got wooden picture frames and engraved into each one it said I Love and then like for my mom it waas grandma kimi and for johnnys mom and bruce it said grandpa bruce and grandma tammy, and then merricks name was engraved all around the picture, they turned out so cute! me and johnny alos exchanged gifts, i got him a vikings jersey and hat and some other little things and he gave me money in a "tear jerker" card so i could go and buy myself some new clothes and stuff so i was way excited for that!!! so we made a day of it and went to provo to do some shopping! it was alot of fun! johhyn got us a game called battle of the sexes and its not a very fair game, all of the questions about girls are easy and all of the boy questions were like history questions, so it dumb, johnny didnt even know most of the boy questions haha. for new years we went and listened to a local band at chicks and it was alot of fun, they played Johnny Be Good so of course johnny had a blast, but we got to see alot of people we hadnt seen for awhile and bringing in the new year was awsome!!! everything went by so fast and im sure im leaving some stuff out but its time to start a new year with my handsome and loving husband and baby boy, right now my life couldnt be any better, im happy, healthy and loved. Happy New Year everybody make it a good one..... oh yeah PS we are planning a trip to the Bahamas and i cant wait!!!!

METAL CHASERS 2

so last time on metal chasers i told you how it all began and i ended with telling you about the so called treasure johnny had hoped to find in our yard which wasnt treasure at all. haha. after that day in the yard playing with the metal detector and hoping to find valuables buried in our grass, johnny decided to start exploring away from the house. he called up his good friend nick and they headed to the desert to find treasure for sure this time. they headed to the Buthc Cassidy hide out to check out if they could find anything. as i sat home and the hours when by i started thinking maybe they found something. johnny came home later with pockets full of stuff, ass he started to pull everything out there deffinately wasnt treasure but he did find a bullet and and a really old can. i wasnt too impressed. a few days later the headed out to the lake. this time they were really excited because you nver know what people lose in the water. by this time nick had gotten himself a metal detector too! so they were really looking forward to going to the lake. again hours went by and johnny came home and this time he had a happy suprised look on his face like he really found something valuable. he called me into the kitchen and said i found some sort of coin, it was dirty and rusted so we cleaned it off the best we could, and as we are doing this johnny had made phone calls telling people to come and see this coin he had found well as people showed up and the coin got cleaned up it was soon discovered to be none other than a Peso. we all sat there and then laughed. so at this point johnny nick have now found pop cans, loose change, metal junk, and a Peso, oh yeah and the Peso is only worth like not even a dollar. so no treasure yet but maybe next me wee could be in for a suprise!!!

METAL CHASERS

ok so most of you are probably like what the heck is metal chasers? lol well its a long story and im going to share it with you.

it all started with my wonderful adventure minded husband. one football sunday as johnny sat and cheered for his favorite teams to win, (which on football sunday is every team and we watch everygame)...ugh, and i sat and pulled the im bored and hate football face, we got a phone call from my dad and step mom saying that they were going to go out to the desert and they wanted us to go. so i was up for anything just as long as i didnt have to watch anymore football. they took us out to a place that is said to be a hide out of Butch Cassidy's so we took the long hike in the heat and not to meantion a got a hole in my pants from sliding on the rocks :( . on our way back to the truck johnny and nick were looking all over for things that might have been buried or hidden or something. so when we got back to the truck johnny said that he wanted to get a metal detector do he could find valuable things i guess. haha so then later that all he could talk about. well a week goes by and i was home cooking dinner and i noticed that johnny shouldve been home by then so i was wondering what he was up to. well i call him and he says that he got a present for me and him to share, so at this point all i could assume is that if johnny bought it on impulse then it isnt a necessity, and it probably cost alot of money. well as i heard him pull into the drive way i noticed a big box, and he came through the door and low and behold it was a metal detector! of course it was a metal detector, thats all he could talk about. so my assumptions were correct. he quickly opened the box and took it outside, now at this point all that went through my head was what kind of treasure was he expecting to find in the yard? well about and hour later he came in with with some pennies, a couple dimes, a metal heart thing, and some other piece of metal. i of course thought it was funny and this is where it all began.........stay tuned for part 2 of metal chasers!!!

halloween was alot of fun this year! merrick was a pirate, johnny was a doctor and i was a nurse. merrick didnt like wearing his pirate hat so we didnt get very many pictures with it on and he wouldnt let me draw a mustach on him so wehn he fell asleep in the car i secretly drew one on him, it looked so cute! we took merrick trick or treating around to family and of corse later he ate more candy than he ever has but once a year wont hurt! after that we went to the haunted forest to help out friends that were putting it on, johnny was in it scaring poeple and i was making sure everybody paid to get in. it was alot of fun, after that my sister and sister in law were haveing a costume party so my mom watched merrick and we went to the party. that night johnny showed off his "amazing" dance moves for me, i never laughed so hard in my life! we had a blast. me and my sister busted out the old school dance moves and music we always made up dances to, it was so funny, you ahd to be there to get the full effect. there was a girl there that was dressed like a gypsie and she had these bells around her waist and johnny was asking her to teach him her moves so he was copying her and oh my heck what a nerd but it made me laugh, thats girl sure had some interesting dance moves! haha. all in all it was a fun night!

New Words

so my baby boy is growing up so fast its sad! he has been learning more words like, hot dog, and oh no, and his new favorite is oh gosh, its so funny, i dropped some salad out of the fridge and merrick came running in and stared at the salad everywhere and looks and me and says " ooooh gosh" it made me laugh. he loves his books right now and hes getting better with learning new animal sounds. he currently loves to climb on the chairs at the table and sit like a big boy but it makes me crazy because he doesnt pay attention very often so i have to really watch him so he doesnt fall off. he started the terrible twos when he turned one and as he gets closer to 18 months the fits are getting worse!!! yesterday i had to put him in 2 time outs by noon!!! but hes is also very lovey and likes to give kisses. johnny is ready to have baby number 2, and im not ready yet but maybe after merrick turns 2 i will consider it! merrick is just such a handful and looking back i didnt have the most pleasant pregnancy so i deffinately need more time!!! so theres my update!

ok so i havent posted anything for a while so now i am going to update everything that had been going on first off merrick is still growing to fast! his new thing is saying please and thank you and its so stinkin cute i love it. he also loves to dance and sing and of course say hi to everybody he also calls people so if you ever get a weird phone call from me it was probably merrick. lol. he is also learning to eat with a spoon and so far he has done really well its just really messy! he is alot of fun but his fits and tantrums are not! but i love him regardless of course!
johnny went to nashville for his mine rescue national competition this month, i was so jealouse! so we are going to plan a family trip back the and of course make our way to memphis where the one and only Elvis Presley lived! if you dont already know, johnny is a huge Elvis fan! so im excited for that, but in the meantime he brought back some awsome pictures! the resort he stayed at was huge! i forgot how big it was exact ly but it was huge! he also went to the BB king blues club and to a restraunt that was in an aquarium, i have pictures of that too!
after johnny got back from Nashville we went camping for Labor Day weekend, it was really hot and there was alot of bees but other than that merrick had a blast in the dirt and riding in the Razor. it was fun to hang out with friends around the fire, but i was deffinately raeady for a shower by the end of the trip!
im going to put a could random photos on here to, one is funny...johnny was weed wacking all of our weeds and it was with this machine thing that is different than a regular weed wacker, but anyways...it would shoot the sticks and stuff up at him so he put on his paint ball mask! he looked like a dork so i took a picture! theres a could pictures of merrick too. one is with his football slippers, one he just looked to cute to not take a picture, and the other, he likes to throw the pillows off the couch on the floor and then lay on them while a plays with toys. its funny and cute so we took a picture of that. so now that you have read the novel i just wrote, im finally done!

Another first hair cut!

ok so merrick already attempted to have one first hair cut but all he let katie cut off was one curl so it didnt really count but the other day i took him because his hair was getting so long! so he got his first hair cut and now he doesnt look like my baby he looks like a little toddler boy, hes so stinkin cute though i love it! he did so good, he didnt cry or anything i was so happy and proud of him!

so this past weekend was alot of fun for our little family, so i figured i would share it. with this stinkin hot weather you dont want to go outside or stay inside so we decided to go out and do some stuff. we went to the motocross races because our friend ty races and he took 1st and 2nd he did and awsome job! merrick loved watching all of the motorcycles and just kinda hung out in his stroller and enjoyed the ride as we hauled him everywhere, afterward we decided to go to the lake since merrick had never been there, everybody was going to go and it ended up just being me johnny and merrick but it was still alot of fun, i forgot my camera or i would have pictures :( but we took merrick out on his little tube and at first he hated it, but then he warmed up to it and loved it! after that everybody had a big BBQ and we played horse shoes and hung out and visited. it was a very nice day and i love spending time with my little family and our friends...very good weekend.

ok so i havent posted anything for a little bit. there isnt much new that i can share but over the past couple weeks we have been pretty busy. johnny was on his 2 week vacation so we got to spend some time together, we went golfing... yes me the most uncoordinated person when it comes to sports...i golfed! not well though but i did hit the ball!!! we went camping and thats always fun as long as its not for a long time a couple days was nice. merrick got to ride on a forewheeler and that made his day! he loved it! and he got to play in the dirt so thats makes any boy happy, and we had a deer go right through our camp! me and johnny also had our 2 year anniversary! two years already it went by so fast. we went upstate and did some fun things and had a fun day. but now hes back to work so im adjusting to him not being here all day. overall things are good and hopefully just going to keep getting better.

4th of july

this 4th of july weekend was a lot of fun, we went camping up to bear creek campground, and my pretty much aunt and uncle re-newed their vows. they aren't really my aunt and uncle but we have always considered them that.it was neat to watch them do that and my dad did the ceremony so it was nice. i was a little concerned about hwo merrick would do because previous camping trips were more stressful than fun, but everything went great and he had a blast exploring and getting dirty. there were warnings about bears in that area i guess there had been problems there so i was freaked out mostly at night, i didnt want to stay by the fire because i always thought there was a bear in the trees and it was going to attack me. it was scary. i took my camera and i forgot to get pictures but i did get one before we went camping 4th of july but yoiu cant see his face but his outfit was cute so you can kinda see that and i got a picture of him lounging in the chair while we were packing up to head home. overall it was a really fun weekend.

March of Dimes

well when merrick turned one i decided that i would need to start weaning him off of his bottle but i hated trying to take it away from him because he loved it soooo much and he was so cute when he would get all excited while i was making it, well i started giving him his cuppy too so he would start to get more used to it, and after a few weeks of giving the cuppy more than his bottle he gave up the bottle and is just as happy with his cuppy! hes such a good baby he didnt really cry about it or anything, but he did get bit by a spider on his cheek so that has made him not happy but its getting better so im happy for that!

so i just posted but i forgot a couple things, so johnny decides that he wanted to shave off his goatee which suprised me, but i think its because merrick doesnt like to give him kisses he always rubs his face after when he does, and he will give me more kisses than johnny, so i told him to just trim it little by little in case he doesnt like it but he came out of the bathroom with a baby face! i really like it and he does to but honestly i never realized how little his chin was, i told him it reminded me of when we very first started dating and he had no facial hair at all so it funny i love it! merrick gives him lots of kisses now but i told him that if he was going to have a baby face then he needs to not let it get so pokey because right now its kind of like sand paper, but thats ok. he gets all sefl consious like it doesnt look good so it makes me laugh.
our friends hayden and kylie got married yesterday they have been together for like 7 years so its about time, but it was so much fun we danced our booties off all night it was a blast im so happy for them! we almost didnt make it to the ceremony, we walked in right as kylie made it up the aisle so everybody was standing so we just had to sneek in, and we did! johnny likes to say that im the one that makes us late but its completely the other way around im always ready and waiting for him, he always thinks he need 5 min to get ready but he takes much more time than that, so im just making the record clear that i can get myslef and merrick ready and be on time, so thats why we were late, but just by like 2 min. ok so i think im done updating!!!

so i decided i need to post some pictures they are just random things i want to share. i will kinda tell you about why i took the picture or what was going on. so merrick loves suckers but idont give them to him very often because he makes the biggest mess but my aunt gave him probably the messiest suckers ever for his birthday so i decided to let him have some of one because they are big i didnt think he would need a whole one, but he was a mess in like 2 seconds and he was so proud of it so i had to take some pictures and of course he gives me his CHEESE!!! grin.i love it
Merrick loves to escape from me when he gets out of the bath tub because hes "free" so one night after his bath he was running fromme with his towel still on his head and it made me laugh he walked all over the house with it on so i had to take a picture.

so my little monkey loves to crawl on the couch and run around and what not but he likes to sit up there and watch movies and he always lounges back and crosses his feet so i got a picture of that and then johnnys mom gave him some batman jammies so i dressed him in them one night and had to take a picture and then he fell asleep on the couch and had a nap. he had never done that before so of course i think its the cutest thing ever. his jammies look a little small but they arent he was just laying weird.
and last but not least merrick got a little girraffe baby pool for his birthday and we finally had nice weather to put it up so today we did that and played in the water it was so much fun to do something as a family adn merrick had a blast but it wore him out for sure. but of course i took pictures, and he got to wear his cute little swim shorts!

today was alot of fun for us and merrick but he still managed to throw a fit in there and we have ahd to start doing time out, and suprisingly he stays there till we get him but he stands there and screams at us then stops until we look at him and then he starts the fit again and then he takes a nap afterward, i guess it takes alot of energy to throw those fits. so theres my picture overload!

well i havent blogged for a few so heres the update. there not a whole lot new right now merrick is still growing like a weed and refuses to be a baby. he has learned to get on the couch and he loves it so he runs around on it. so i lay a whole bunch of pillows on the floor that way if he falls it wont hurt him and it seems to work out really good. hes been going up the stairs really good for a long time but he just wouldnt go back down the way that i would show him but last night my dad and step mom watched him and they have two steps that go down into the living room and he always crawls up them and then wants to just run down them but last night he stepped down them! he didnt fall of anything so he crawls up and walks down its crazy he just doesnt want to waste time being a one year old. he has also started the lovely tantrums, so if we get mad at him he screams and holds his breath its scary at first but i know hes just mad and he doesnt pass out ir anything , johnny thinks its like a medical problem but he only does it when hes upset and i try and explain that but he still thinks what he wants. i feel like we are dealing with the terrible twos and hes only one so i cant wait till hes two! haha. we went to the comedy night last night at teh Holiday Inn and it was so much fun we laughed out butts off i think we will go more often it was fun. well Happy Fathers Day, johnnys golfing ( go figure) make today a great day!

Nemo Party 1 Year Old, and 1st Hair Cut!!!

Can you believe my baby boy is 1 year old already? hes getting so big i dont know here this past year has gone! its so sad and happy at the same time. i have loved being able to be home and watch him grow and learn hes such a sweetheart. So merrick is a huge finding nemo fan so on May 31st i threw him a Nemo party with family and a big bouncer for the kids. before the party we decided to get hair cuts and it was merricks first one and let me just say it didnt go well we got one little curl cut and he started shaking his head and screaming! it was horrible! so he didnt get his hair cut, but i did cut mine OFF! i love it! its short but so much better! for his party we decided to go all out since it was is first party and he had alot of fun! he loved the bouncer but the other kids had a hard time sitting still while he was in there so it was kinda frustrating but he still had fun, the only time he got upset was when i was trying to get him to open presents and when i wanted him to dig into his cake i made him, and i will add that i decorated it myself! he hated the frosting all over his hands but at least he tried. all of our friends and family were there to celebrate with us he got alot of presents, johnny and i got him a little bouncer for him to jump around in, a little lion thing he can ride on, a swing, a ball, a bucket and shovel, and a little climber that has a slide and stuff, and a chair that he likes to lounge back in and watch nemo. he got a wagon that is so so cute, a baby pool, swimming stuff, clothes, sunglasses, a little forwheeler it doesnt have a battery its juts so he can sit on it and push himself around,a bunch on other toys and nemo stuff, then my mom drew a picture of merrick and drew significant things that were throughout the year she wanted to add more but ran out of room but i love it! she did and awsome job!!! so overall i think everything went very well and hes growing up too fast! here is one video of merrick when he was first in the bouncer and didnt like it and then one when he did like it but all of the kids wanted to be by him, and my stepbrothers wife, jamie, is filming it for me because i didnt want to climb in there so she was nice enough to do that but i felt bad because the little kids wouldnt listen to her or anybody really but she tried.

ok so i forgot to say a couple things in my last post so i will squeeze them in now. ok so merrick is now riding in a big boy seat so he faces forward and he loves it! i cant believe hes so big. well my mom an di made a trip to provo to get the seat and merrick started throwing a huge fit so we started siing old mcdonald and he fell right to sleep so my mom bought him a CD that has all of the kid songs on it and he sings with and gets all excited and most the time he just falls asleep but it works! i recently took him to my dads so he could swing in a swing for the first time i know im a slacker. he loves the swing i think that we might get him a swing set for his brithday! while we were there my step brothers little girl Mallory just got a bunch of little baby chickens and merrick sat and chased them around and he fell on one and i felt bad but the little chick was ok, but he followed them around forever, but i will not be investing in any chickens...haha. but i do have a little video of him chasing the chickens!

Easter,and Durango,and Stories, OH MY!!!

ok so its been forever since i updated this thing i have new pictures and videos to share, i will start with Easter, so it was merricks first easter and of course the weather wasnt too wonderful! we went out to the desert to hang with the family but we didnt camp, merrick likes the dirt tho thats for sure! he is still to young to understand the easter egg finding but he liked to play with the eggs and he keeps a couple in his toy box. he got a some toys and clothes and crayons and candy he had fun ripping into everything. over all we had a pretty fun Easter!

Next, we headed to Durango, Johnny had a mine rescue competition in Aztec NM, and thats only about 45 min or so from Durango so merrick and i went and we stayed a couple extra days so we could visit family, johnnys sister had a baby in Feb. i think and she is such a doll!so we got to see her and spend time with our nephew as well. johnnys dad has been fixing up some property that was his father in laws, and i couldnt believe how many things he had stored away. i mean there was so many shovels, lawn mowers, weed eaters, rakes, ladders, doors, and of course johnny prized posession the Sky Lark. this car was johnnys in high school and he always had stories about it so he took a ton of pictures of it and now he wants to get it back here and fix it up. hes so funny. while we were there johnnys dad found an old wagon and we laid blankets in it and rigged an umbrella over it so we could pull merrick around, it was totally "redneck" but it was cute! merrick sat and played in the dirt that day and i dont know what it is but he likes to rub it in his hair, he had the dirtiest bath water that night but he had fun. one day while we were there we went to the mall and we had merrick ride a barney train, you know the ones that you put the quaters in and it just moves around, yeah well we did that and he really liked it i got a little video of it. we had alot of fun, its always nice to have a little get away!

now to catch up about the family, we are all doing very well, i just had my first mothers day and it was the best. i got a very pretty necklace and johnny got a card and wrote in it with crayon like it was from merrick, it was so cute i loved it! merrick had started being a little fit thrower so its been alittle stressful at times but hes still so much fun, he really cruising now he tries to run everywhere and suprising enough, he can! hes getting so big he will be one year old on the 31st i cant believe it! hes learning his animal noises now so he knows the ducky the cow and the chicken the best we are still working on it. he loves to say hi to everybody, i took him up to Toys R Us and Barnes and Noble and he ran around like crazy i deffinately got my workout in that day, but he went up to a little girl and peeked around the shelf all shy and was saying hi to her and then he started following her around it was cute. right now since the weather is nice he loves it outside he would play out there all day if he could hes such a sweetheart and monkey all mixed in one. i did get some new pictures of him done they are so cute i love them! so i will get them and all of my other pictures on here. and finally im done i think!

the other day our baby boy finally said dada! we have been working with him to say it and he did! so now he says mama, dada, baba, hi, bye bye, and yay! i cant believe it! yesterday was a pretty scary day though, merrick managed to get out of his crib and it wasnt pleasant at all! he had a pretty good fall i figured out that he stood on his bumper in his crib so i had to take that out. i was so freaked out though i didnt know what to do i was just hoping that he didnt fall and break and bones or get a concusion so when he calmed down that was the first thing i did was check his whole body and his eyes. he got a bump on his head but hes ok, it wasnt long before he was happy and playing patty cake, but then later that night i had to do a party, johnny and merrick had bonding time but merrick is sick again!...and he was throwing up everywhere but he quit doing that and now he just has a cough and a runny nose which is still not fun. i did get some new pictures of him done but i dont have them yet so when i get them i will be posting them for everyone to see! so theres the update with my little family, not all good news but thats just part of it.

on friday the 13th our baby boy took his first 3 steps! i couldnt believe it! he just started standing on his own two weeks ago! johnny and i are so proud of him! he still a little bit wobbly but hes getting better at it everyday.

Catching Up

well i havent written since we bought our house so its time to update. there isnt a whole lot going on but merrick is still getting so big! he is starting to stand on his own but im having a hard time getting a picture so i will work on that. he is eating finger foods on his own its so stinking cute. he still doesnt say dada but mama and baba are popular he like to say bye bye to. he getting more teeth i think hes up to 7 right now and teething doesnt make is finest moments the poor thing. it seems like hes getting louder but thats ok :) we have been busy lately, johnny works like 6 days a week and i have been running all over this state doing parties. ps. mands was so much fun and i got to go to St. George to do it! our baby boy is gettover being sick, when i got home from my trip we was not a happy camper, it was no fun. but he is getting better now so hes being alot happier! well thats all for now!

We Bought A House!!!

well not too much has been happening with our little family since the last post but we are officially homeowners!!! yay! no more rent!!! so thats exciting. merrick is basically into everything, but hes entertaining, i think he will be walking soon!!! its amazing how fast he is growing. he is currently learning to wave bye bye and he trys to say it but it sounds backwards lol i love it! Last but not least hes starting to do little dance moves and he gets a big proud smile on his face, hes alot of fun and it just keeps getting better!!!

so my baby boy just said his first words a week ago and it was mama!!! it was cute i love it! hes getting so big too fast! hes pulling himself up to the furniture and standing its so crazy, i love and hate it at the same time! and he just had his first christmas and new years so that was alot of fun even though he didnt really care about the presents, juts the paper...go figure! it was alot of fun and we are ready to start a new year!!!

Johnny and I got married on July 21 2007. We have a beautiful baby boy named Merrick that joined us on May 31 2008 and he will be five months at the end of this month! Johnny works in the coal mine for Consol where he is part of the mine rescue team and I am a stay at home mom and I am a Slumber Parties distributor. We live in a small town where it is quiet and we can focus on our family and friends and do activities that we love to do. We are a new little family and so far things are going great!!!
