updating and Tennesee

ok so i havent posted anything for a while so now i am going to update everything that had been going on first off merrick is still growing to fast! his new thing is saying please and thank you and its so stinkin cute i love it. he also loves to dance and sing and of course say hi to everybody he also calls people so if you ever get a weird phone call from me it was probably merrick. lol. he is also learning to eat with a spoon and so far he has done really well its just really messy! he is alot of fun but his fits and tantrums are not! but i love him regardl

johnny went to nashville for his mine rescue national competition this month, i was so jealouse! so we are going to plan a family trip back the and of course make our way to memphis where the one and only Elvis Presley lived! if you dont already know, johnny is a huge Elvis fan! so im excited for that, but in the meantime he brought back some awsome pictures! the resort he stayed at was huge! i forgot how big it was exact

e! he also went to the BB king blues club and to a restraunt that was in an aquarium, i have pictures of that too!
after johnny got back from Nashville we went camping for Labor D

ay weekend, it was really hot and there was alot of bees but other than that merrick had a blast in the dirt and riding in the Razor. it was fun to hang out with friends around the fire, but i was deffinately raeady for a shower by the end of the trip!

Emery Miners Win Mine Rescue Contest

CONSOL Energy Inc.’s Emery Mine-Black team, from Emery, claimed first place honors in the CONSOL Energy “Best of the Best” Mine Rescue Contest held Sept. 16-18 in Virginia, capping the 2008 contest season. The Emery-Blue team claimed third place overall in the Virginia contest.

A total of 18 teams from throughout CONSOL Energy and its subsidiaries from five states, including those based in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Utah, competed in the event held at the CONSOL Energy Mine Rescue Training Center at Oakwood, Va. CONSOL Energy has more mine rescue teams than any other company in the industry.

Members of the Emery-Black mine rescue team are Ron Wright, Brandon Wilde, Matt Crosland, Johnny Donan, “For all your efforts, all your sacrifice to serve on a CONSOL rescue team and to participate in mine rescue, thank you,” Hyita said. “It takes time away from your families and the whole industry appreciates your service. You are the most highly trained people we have in the company.”Corey Prettyman, Kasey Thompson and Jim Kulow, trainer.

Our Trip to Durango

This last week made a little trip to Durango to see family that we haven't seen in awhile and to introduce our newest addition to his grandparents, great grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins. we were there for 5 days and we got to spend time with everybody which was alot of fun, johnny's dad played the guitar and sang for us and i was going to record it and my camera was dead but eventually i will get a recording of it, Merrick loved it! It was nice to visit and see everybody, johnnys brother lives in new mexico so we made a trip there to see him and the family. Merrick hated being in his car seat all of the time but overall i feel that it was a trip worth while. we will have to go there more often.
